I think everyone did a great job on the presentations. I learned a lot from all of them. I really like the paintings in Cassy and Tina’s presentation. I found it really interesting how he used such cheap materials and they are such famous and beautiful paintings.
I was really interesting in the music presentation that Kevin ad Julie did. I learned a lot about the different kinds. I have to agree that there are many wanna-be cowboys and cowgirls and that it is becoming more popular but it isn’t sounding like the older style at anymore at all. It has more of a pop sound to it. This is just my opinion. I enjoyed learning about creole and cajun style food. I liked how they were compared. I love that kind of food and love to cook so thanks for teaching me something new! I thought that Kevin and Diane did a great job at analying the color purple. I love that movie and it was a very unique way to do a presentation.

I really need to see The Color Purple, since everyone is saying it was a great movie! I did enjoy how both movie presenations used clips to stress their points. I found it very interesting as well that Lawrence's paintings were made from such cheap material- like we said it class, I hope they stay in their original form. I agree with you that country is sounding more like pop these days. There will always be the authentic country singers, but ever since covers and crossover music, country artists have tried their hand in pop-country songs, and it often really works!

I thought it was so interesting as well that even though lawrence used cheap materials that were avaiable to him that he still was able to create such beautiful pieces of artwork. someone brought up in class that they were wondering what the paintings looked like now and if they had been preserved...i am trying to find something about the internet now...
It is interesting how country has so many different types....i never knew so many even exsisted! to me it was always just country!

I have not see the Color Purple but after the presentation and the scenes we were shown it really made me interested. I lreally enjoyed learning about food because I was able to learn that there is a difference between Cajun and Creole food and that people in the South use food more than just at dinner its a group gathering and its fun.

I also feel that everyone did a great job. like I said in my blog, its sometimes very hard to get up in front of an audience and speak..but we will all grow from it.
I appreciate everyone's time and effort in their presentations, they were all very interesting. Thank You!!

As a guy who loves food, I must agree with you that the food presentations were very interesting as well. I'm also glad that you got to add your input on the music part. It is a sad but true situation not only in country music but a majority of society with fake people claiming to be something they are not.

I enjoyed all of the presentations. the one that you mentioned where they brought up culture now and how people are trying to be cowboys and cowgirls. I went to NYC not to long age and I saw people with these hats on and I was wondering when the West moved to Manhattan. I mena maybe that is where they were from but not with designer jeans and bags on. Its funny that a cutlture who cares so much about our looks picks one that has been around forever and one that is not to expensive to imitate.
